The 2026 Lancet Countdown UK Policy Priorities published today call for accelerated action on the decarbonisation of energy, increasing access to healthy and sustainable food and governance mechanisms to improve cross-sector working to protect health from the impact of climate change.

The UK Health Alliance on Climate Change issues a statement on the recent Government decision to approve production at the Jackdaw gas field in the North Sea, despite the growing evidence of health harms caused by climate change.

The UK Health Alliance on Climate Change, along with many of its Members, are proud to endorse the IPC Environmental Sustainability Statement, developed by DHSC, NHS England and organisations from across health and care. The statement provides leadership and direction for applying evidence-based IPC principles alongside safe, lower-carbon and circular clinical practices while maintaining patient safety. https://www.england.nhs.uk/infection-prevention-and-control/ipc-environmental-sustainability-statement Contact us UK Health Alliance on Climate Change C/O BMJ Publishing Group Tavistock Square London, WC1H 9JR Email us More information Events Resources Privacy policy Accessibility Website footprint Funding policy Trustee Board minutes Endorsement policy
